The Breath – from stress to calm and energy

The Breath – from stress to calm and mental energy
The breath is the part of the nervous system we can control ourselves. This makes it one of the most powerful tools we have when everyday life gets busy. When we are stressed, breathing becomes shallow and high. When we breathe calmly and deeply, our heart rate and thoughts settle down, and we regain our mental energy.
I start with the body because a collapsed ribcage cannot breathe freely. Using the chair for support, we open the chest and first learn to observe the breath and then to prolong the exhalation. It is the exhalation that calms the nervous system the most.
Everyone can participate. It requires no experience, flexibility, or specific fitness level. We sit on a chair the entire time, and that is all you need.
Participants get
A simple explanation of how breathing affects the nervous system, heart rate, and sleep
Concrete breathing exercises that can be used before a meeting, during a break, or at bedtime
An experience of calm that they can take home with them
Without mats or change of clothes.
