Etiquette & consideration - for you & others

“Yoga is meant for the purification of body and its exploration as well as for the refinement of the mind.”
– B.K.S. Iyengar

When we share a space for practice, we create it together. A few simple guidelines help keep the space balanced, focused, and pleasant for everyone.

Time
There are often classes right after each other, so please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the class starts, so we can get the students out to the class ahead of time. And please be ready at least 5 minutes before it starts!

Phones
You may not talk on the phone in the studio. Set your phone to silent and place it in the box in the room for phones and other valuables.

Cleanliness and scent
Cleanliness creates a pleasant environment for everyone. Avoid perfume, and please come in a fresh and clean state, so that scent does not become a nuisance to others in the room.

Doors, quiet zone, and behavior
When the door to one of the two studios is closed, a class is in session, and the changing room is therefore a quiet zone – show kindness and consideration. Speak softly in the studio, and show respect for the other students when you arrive.

Clothing
Yoga is practiced barefoot. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely – preferably a T-shirt and shorts or leggings.

Equipment
Please bring your own mat. If you don't want to carry it back and forth, you can rent a mat space in the studio. For the first few times, you can also borrow a mat or if you forgot your own.

Consideration for the body
Tell me before the class if you have injuries, pain, or other conditions I should be aware of, so I can teach you in the best possible way.

Cancellations
If you cancel at least 4 hours before the class starts, you will get your pass back or a replacement pass.

Payment with passes
If you want to pay with passes, you do it on the drop-in form – before the class starts.

Before the class
It is best not to eat a large meal in the last few hours before practice. If you need energy, eat a small piece of fruit half an hour beforehand.
